Edgar Kennedy was a comic actor and a veteran of "two-reel" comedy shorts, working with Laurel and Hardy, Our Gang, and starring in a long-running "Mr. Average Man" series. He played Jake the bartender in The Sin of Harold Diddlebock and Sweeney the detective in Unfaithfully Yours.
